Personality:

Natasha is a shielded and cautious person who doesn’t care to let anyone get close to her in anything personal or emotional. She’s guarded and on edge about these things, though there are some people who have worked into her inner circle. Those few people can actually affect her when she thinks they are wounded, dying or dead. It’s because of her job and life style that she doesn’t let people close.

When Natasha was very young she was put through a Russian program that trained girls to be top rate assassins. The Black Widow program. Because of this program most of her personality is very dark and biting. It trained her to kill without remorse, take orders and directions and be a fast and efficient killing machine. As time has gone by, because of all this she has aged and softened in some ways. She considers herself a monster just for what she has done to people in this life.

Over the past few movies it is shown that she’s more relaxed, especially around these people. She’s accepted what she is and has slowly been changing. She left a life of killing for others and has turned to help Heroes save people. It’s grown on her.

Natasha is a master of messing with people's minds if she wants to. She can lie with ease and build new personalities or identities to help hide her true self. She knows tricks and ways to make a person feel uncomfortable enough to ignore her, or simply ways to get their attention. She can pull off a very convincing role of friendly or timid, scared or vulnerable, as well as stern, hardheaded and unbudging. It sometimes becomes hard to tell which is the real Natasha and which is not.

In a general setting she can be or display a fairly friendly attitude, especially if it’s a relaxed environment or she trusts the people (a good example is the party at the Avengers place). She’s witty and can crack jokes, or at least fill a conversation with good sarcasm (example, her conversations with Steve over dates). That being said, she’s also a serious person. If the situation is really bad she might shoot off a one liner but not as often as on a controlled situation. She knows when she has control of a situation enough to crack wise or to shut up.

She may be a deadly assassin willing to take on the harder jobs, fight aliens and face most things that would make grown men cry, but she’s not without fear. A healthy dose of fear keeps a person sharp however, so it’s not the greatest downfall. An example of this is when she had to deal with the Hulk. She’s a small breakable human with very good talents and skills, but nothing trained her to be ready to deal with giant monsters wanting to smash her into a pulp. When you have a hulk running after you, you learn to fear it. She thankfully gets over this fear of the big guy and helps him stabilize and calm down.

With everything that has happened to her in her past Natasha is nothing but loyal to those who deserve it from her. The list is very, very short (Barton, Rogers and Fury), but those on that list are people she will do anything for, even if it means switching sides in a battle, or pulling punches.

She is protective of those she is loyal to, but also to civilians as well. The innocent. When being shot at by the Winter Soldier, she runs, waving people to get out of the way, to go and hide, to run. It may seem counterproductive of a master assassin to take a shot for an innocent but she has a lot in her past she is trying to make amends for. The more people she can save, the more faded the red in her ledger will hopefully come. Natasha knows that she will never be able to be clear of her sins however, but she can do what she can to try and ease them a bit.

In short, Natasha can be cold and calculating, but she’s starting to grow out of that with age. She’s careful of who she befriends or lets in close, and even those close to her aren’t sure how to react to her. If you do become friends with her you have a loyal friend for life, unless you betray her, and then you are cut off (and lucky to only be cutoff and not dead). She’s slowly relaxing into being known to the public and somewhat ‘normal’ (if you can call Normal a Hero and an Avenger).

In this strange new place, in space of all places, she’s going to b a bit on edge at first. Drugs and aphro is going to really bother her, because it takes a sense of control away from her. She might be able to settle and relax a bit. To play along, but half the time it will be an act as she tries to figure things out. The other half might just be her trying to learn to actually go with the flow. That might take a while though.

Intelligence gathering will be a thing, at first, because she loves having as much information as she can have. In this situation, that information might be pretty plain and simple and make no sense to her at all. Pleasure and fun? Just because? Seems fake, but okay.

Abilities and Nerfs:

Natasha is not superhuman, but she has been trained from a very small age to be very proficient in hand to hand combat, knives, guns and weapons in general. She is highly flexible and a deadly fighter when she needs to be. She has no powers that would need to be nerfed at all.

Some Highlights:
-=Computer skills, hacking skills and a good understanding of programming used for these purposes.
-= Fluent in many different languages, including but not limited to Russian, English, German and several others...
-=Martial Artist - She was SHIELD’S best. Mastered: Karate, Judo, Tai Chi, Aikido, Savate, Boxing, and even Lucha-libre style wrestling, along with several other kung fu styles. An expert at hand to hand combat.
-=Expert Marksman - She can shoot and fire anything handed to her. Sharpshooting and knife throwing included.
-=Weapons Specialist - She’s good with just about any weapon. As shown with the Chitari weapon she picked up and used with ease. In some cases she can take common household items and turn them into weapons without much thought.
-=Seductress - Part of the spy game, really. She’s trained in knowing how to read people and find what they want.
-=Acrobat, Actress, Dancer/Ballerina, - all part of the Spy game training. She has grace, balance and a ease of movement.
-=Quick mind - Able to assess multiple streams of information at once in order to rapidly respond to a changing situation.

Inventory:

Black leather jacket, white shirt, black leggings boots, socks underwear, and a knife tucked in behind her back under the jacket. Around her neck is a tiny arrow necklace. She had little to nothing else on her at the time.

1-= Black ‘Cat Suit’ preferably one built like some of her old ones. Strong material, flexible, fitted, zip front, belted with boots.
2-= A set of throwing knives?
3-= A gun or stun baton? Um…
4-= Something pretty? Jewels or something?
5-= I… don’t… know. I mean seriously, she has so little desire for material things. Give her cute functional clothing, a knife or two, a gun or her catsuit and she’s pretty happy.
